AI Motion Control with a Character and Movement Reference

AI Motion Control uses a character image and a supported motion-reference video to guide a new moving performance. The character image describes who or what should appear, while the reference shows the movement to draw from. This is useful when describing an action in words would leave too much of the timing and pose sequence unspecified.

A motion reference is guidance, not a frame-by-frame guarantee. Prepare both inputs for the same intended shot and check the selected model’s requirements. A reference with several unrelated performers, rapid scene cuts or hidden limbs can make the requested motion more difficult to judge.

Match Character Framing to the Reference Movement

Choose an image that shows the body area needed for the action. A close portrait is a poor visual basis for assessing a full-body dance, while a clear full-body image makes limb movement easier to compare. Keep the subject readable and avoid cutting off the parts central to the intended performance.

Review the movement clip for pose changes, camera movement and objects near the performer. Decide which motion is essential and use the controls actually offered by the chosen model. Input size, duration, supported framing and output options are model-dependent; the form’s requirements take precedence over a generic example.

Compare the Generated Movement with Your Reference

Check movement rhythm and body coherence throughout the returned clip. Look at hands, feet, joints and clothing during fast motion, and note where the character becomes hidden or changes shape. A similar opening pose does not establish that the whole performance follows the reference accurately.

Keep the take that serves your project and download the delivered file for final editing. Motion control does not automatically add matching music, lip sync or an editable animation rig. Use only character images and reference footage you have permission to transform, and review the result before sharing a recognizable performance.

How to Use AI Motion Control

  1. 01

Pair a character image with a motion video

Upload a character image and a motion reference video. A visible subject and readable movement help define the intended action.

  2. 02

    Set the motion-control scene direction

Describe details to preserve where supported, and choose the available output settings. Follow the selected model’s input limits.

  3. 03

    Inspect the transferred character movement

Check body motion, hands and background continuity. Motion guidance does not guarantee an exact copy of the reference performance.

AI Motion Control Use Cases

  • Explore a character performing an authorized movement reference.
  • Develop a short dance or gesture shot.
  • Compare motion directions before a longer creative edit.

About this example

Motion control uses a character image and a compatible motion video. These licensed dance clips show possible movement references; no generated target-character match is shown.

A readable full-body move

What you provide

  • Your permitted character image.
  • A motion-reference video with the body clearly visible.

What to expect

A character video guided by the supported motion input.

What to check

  • Inspect foot placement, hands and changes of pose.
  • Check whether the reference framing fits the character image.

Licensed body-motion reference; not a paired transfer result.

Follow the movement, then inspect the details

What you provide

  • Your target character image.
  • A compatible reference showing one continuous movement.

What to expect

A motion-guided clip; body, clothing and background can change between frames.

What to check

  • Choose a motion with a clear body outline and review the entire result.

Licensed movement reference; upload your own permitted input files.

AI Motion Control Questions

What inputs does motion control need?

Use the character image and motion-reference video required by the selected model. Review the specific slots, size and duration limits in the form. A text prompt alone is not a substitute for the required movement reference.

Can a face portrait follow a full-body dance?

A portrait does not show the body details needed to evaluate a full-body performance. Choose character framing that matches the action and keep the important limbs visible. Generated anatomy and movement still need to be checked in the final clip.

Does motion control include singing or lip sync?

Matching body movement does not imply synchronized singing or mouth animation. Those are separate goals with dedicated workflows. Review the selected model’s actual output and prepare audio or a lip-sync step separately when needed.

How much does this task cost?

Review the credit cost displayed for the selected model and output settings before submitting. Available controls, limits and prices depend on that selection. You can prepare the inputs before signing in; submission requires the account and credit checks shown by the workspace.

What should I check before sharing or keeping a result?

Use material you own or have permission to transform and review the applicable service and model terms. Inspect the entire returned file before publishing. Download the results you want to keep; do not treat temporary access or a saved task record as a promise of permanent file storage.
