A CLOSER LOOK

AI Lip Sync

Match mouth movement in a source video to vocal audio with an available lip-sync model. Review the voice timing and facial movement before downloading.

First check
The mouth should be visible in the source footage.
Audio check
Confirm the words, pauses and ending in the intended recording.
Result check
Watch fast words, held notes and nearby facial detail with sound on.

AI Lip Sync for a Source Video and Vocal Audio

AI Lip Sync uses an existing video and a vocal recording to generate mouth movement guided by the audio. Choose this workflow when you already have moving footage and want the visible performance to follow a different spoken line or vocal passage. The selected model determines the accepted video and audio inputs.

Prepare the actual recording you want the audience to hear. This task is not a script writer or voice cloning system, and a text description alone does not replace the required audio. Use source material you are authorized to edit and check the upload requirements before submitting.

02

Prepare Lip-Sync Footage with a Visible Face

Review the source video before uploading it. A readable face gives you a better basis for evaluating the result than a mouth hidden behind a microphone, a distant performer or frequent cuts. Strong head turns, overlapping people and motion blur can make mouth alignment harder to assess.

Listen to the vocal recording separately and confirm that it is the intended take. Check its duration, pauses and ending against the source. Follow the selected model’s input limits rather than assuming two unrelated file lengths will be matched in a particular way. Use the available settings to prepare one focused test.

03

Inspect Mouth Timing and the Surrounding Face

Watch the generated clip at normal speed with sound, then inspect passages with fast words, held notes or pauses. Look beyond the mouth for changes in teeth, cheeks, skin detail and nearby objects. The result may follow broad speech timing while individual sounds or frames still need review.

Download the accepted version for any final editing. Lip sync does not verify consent, preserve every original frame or guarantee perfect phoneme alignment. If you have only a still character image rather than moving footage, the separate AI Avatar Video workflow is the more relevant starting point.

How to Use AI Lip Sync

  1. 01

Upload a source video and vocal audio

Provide the video and voice recording required by the selected lip-sync model. Use material you have permission to animate.

  2. 02

    Choose supported lip-sync output

Review the model’s input and output settings. Lip sync uses your recording rather than composing a new song or spoken script.

  3. 03

Check lip movement and audio timing

Watch the full result and listen for timing differences. Accuracy can vary with the face, recording and performance.

AI Lip Sync Use Cases

  • Match authorized footage to a prepared spoken line.
  • Explore mouth timing for a short vocal passage.
  • Review an alternative recorded performance before final editing.

About this example

Provide a video with a visible face and a separate vocal recording. The performance references below are not matched before/after lip-sync results.

A readable close-up

What you provide

  • Your existing face video.
  • The new vocal audio to synchronize with it.

What to expect

A lip-synced version of your supported source video.

What to check

  • Check the consonants and pauses against the new audio.
  • Inspect teeth, lips and face edges during motion.

Licensed framing reference; no replacement-audio result is shown.

A short narration replacement

What you provide

  • A short front-facing video you may use.
  • A clean recording of the replacement narration.

What to expect

A synchronized video to inspect with the supplied recording.

What to check

  • Avoid treating the image-plus-audio avatar task as the same input workflow.
  • Review silence, head turns and the final audio/video duration.

AI Lip Sync Questions

Do I need a video or can I use a photo?

This workflow expects a source video and vocal audio as required by the selected lip-sync model. For a performance generated from a still image, use AI Avatar Video instead and review that task’s upload requirements.

Can I use singing as the lip-sync audio?

Use vocal audio accepted by the selected model and review the result closely. Singing, fast speech and unusual pronunciations can require different mouth timing. The workflow does not guarantee equal accuracy for every vocal performance.

Does lip sync translate or create a new voice?

This task uses the audio you provide to guide the video. It does not imply translation, script rewriting or voice cloning. Prepare an authorized replacement recording separately when those changes are part of your project.

How much does this task cost?

Review the credit cost displayed for the selected model and output settings before submitting. Available controls, limits and prices depend on that selection. You can prepare the inputs before signing in; submission requires the account and credit checks shown by the workspace.

What should I check before sharing or keeping a result?

Use material you own or have permission to transform and review the applicable service and model terms. Inspect the entire returned file before publishing. Download the results you want to keep; do not treat temporary access or a saved task record as a promise of permanent file storage.
